Day 22- Terca 7/6/11

I realize I am behind on the blogs, but it's also nice to be getting busier! Today was a pretty mellow day. I played soccer with Beto in the house, we just juggled, and it was fun. I had my first laundry experience, which was a funny struggle, but I will learn from it. I had to wash everything by hand and let it soak in a bucket. Then you hang everything on this dry rack and just wait a couple days or so until it dries. Nothing much to it, but excited for some clean clothes. As always... Soccer was amazing! I probably spend so much of my time blogging about soccer, but this placement is the most amazing experience. I look forward to this every day, and I have to miss soccer on Monday and I am bummed about it. Today the girls were cracking me up! First off, there is this song that goes a little like this "voce, voce, voce". Voce means "you". It must be some popular song here in Brazil because I have heard it multiple times and every time they would say "voce" to me to ask me a question they would start dancing and singing "voce, voce, voce". It was funny. Also, they found out how old I was and started going crazy and pointing at the coach because he is 22. We all got a good laugh out of it and they were all in awe by my hair. Actually a lot of people here love my hair because it is something they don't see often (long brown hair). However, we did penalty kicks today and I don't think I have ever missed a penalty kick that bad. But, in my defense the coach was making me nervous. One of the other volunteers afterwards was like "what were you trying to hit a bird?!” A good day for laughter... :)
